Hi everyone,
March 2023, I featured in Living North's magazine as their 'Man of the Moment'. It was fantastic to be featured and to give Social Socks the opportunity to be read and
As a dad and entrepreneur, I'm passionate about making a positive impact on society and the environment. That's why I founded Social Socks, a Newcastle-based start-up that promotes sustainability and social change. In this blog post, I'll share with you some insights from an article on Living North about how I'm tackling the climate crisis with Social Socks.
The article highlights my journey as a father creating a sustainable business that hopefully can make a positive impact on society. Being a father to two young daughters I wanted to create a product that would raise environmental and social issues, and provide an opportunity to give back. So what better than a pair of socks, that could be used as a tool to raise awareness about social and climate issues.
One of the core principles of Social Socks is sustainability. Social Socks reduces it's carbon footprint and supports ethical and sustainable practices." We want to make sure that our products not only look good but also have a positive impact on the environment.
Our socks are not just sustainable, but also designed to raise awareness about social issues. Each pair of socks has a unique pattern that highlights a particular cause, such as climate change, . By wearing our socks, our customers can start conversations and promote social change. As the article states, "By wearing these socks, customers can start conversations and promote social change."
Another way we promote social change is through raising funds in aid of non-profit organisations. With 10% of the total sale being donated to a charity which aligns to the cause associated with the socks. For example, proceeds from our Classic Range socks are donated to WWF-UK. As I mentioned in the article, "We believe that by giving back to society, we can make a positive impact and contribute to the fight against climate change."
Social Socks, is committed to promoting sustainability and social change. We believe that every individual can make a difference in mitigating the effects of climate change, and we're doing our part to promote sustainability and social responsibility.
